Hi! I'm Christina, Founder of Sprout Literacy!
Hi, I’m Christina, the founder of Sprout Literacy and a passionate educator dedicated to helping young learners thrive. As a certified teacher with over 10 years of experience in elementary education, I’ve had the privilege of teaching kindergarten, first grade, and working as a K-5 literacy tutor. I also hold a master’s degree in Reading and Language Arts, which has deepened my understanding of how children learn to read and grow as learners.
Teaching students how to read has always been my favorite part of being a teacher. There’s nothing more rewarding than witnessing the incredible growth children make over the course of a school year as they gain the skills and confidence to tackle new challenges.
At Sprout Literacy, my mission is to empower young learners to develop strong foundational literacy skills through a balanced, science-based approach. Guided by the five pillars of literacy, I focus on making reading both meaningful and enjoyable, fostering a love for learning that will last a lifetime. My goal is to help every child I work with build strong roots in literacy so they can flourish academically and beyond.
What I Offer
Personalized Literacy Lessons
Using diagnostic literacy assessments, I identify your child's individual needs and create personalized lessons that include guided practice, engaging learning games, and review activities—all focused exclusively on literacy for K-3 students.
Online Private
Tutoring
All sessions are conducted online via Zoom, making it convenient for busy families. No need to drive - together, we'll create a flexible schedule that works best for you and your child.
Open Parent Communication
I keep parents informed every step of the way. Regular progress reports highlight your child’s growth, and I provide recommendations for at-home activities to reinforce their learning.
Christina has been an absolute game-changer for our family!
